Frequently asked questions
What is Adsumio?
Adsumio is online event management software. It covers registration, QR tickets, attendee check-in, staff attendance, automatic emails, surveys, and dashboards, in English and French.
Where does the name Adsumio come from?
Adsum is Latin for “I am here”, the answer students gave at roll call. Adsumio is built around that moment: knowing who registered, who arrived, and who is on site.
Do my attendees need an account?
No. Attendees register with a simple form and receive their ticket by email. Only organizers and staff have an account.
Do I need an app to scan tickets?
No. The scanner runs in the browser of a smartphone or tablet and uses its camera. An internet connection is needed at the time of the scan.
How does staff check-in work?
A screen shows a QR code specific to the event that renews automatically, with a lifetime of at most 5 minutes. Each staff member scans it while signed in, and arrival time, late arrivals, and absences are recorded.
Can I cap the number of seats or keep the event invitation-only?
Yes. Set a capacity and it holds even if two people take the last seat at the same instant. You can also open registration by invitation, or restrict it to a list of email addresses imported from CSV.
Is Adsumio GDPR compliant?
The tool is designed to help you comply with GDPR: unticked consent boxes, retention periods, export and anonymization of personal data, and hosting in France. Each organization remains the controller of its own data.
Can Adsumio connect to our tools?
Yes, through a REST API documented with OpenAPI and personal access tokens. CSV exports remain available for spreadsheets.
Which languages are supported?
English and French, for the interface and for emails. Each attendee sees the event in their language and in the event's time zone.
How do I get started?
